Hi, thank you for your question. In the same way people have different types of bodies (big, small, tall, bulky) the type and amount of sleep you need can vary a lot from person to person. Because of this I am always wary about giving out advice about the ‘best’ type of sleep or way of sleeping. However, I should also add that a full night of sleep features both light and deep sleep (they come and go in cycles). Both are very important and do different things, and they probably even work together to do some things (like form memories). In order for you to be a healthy and happy individual you need both.
Hi thanks for the question. Yawning may be your body helping your brain out with a quick burst of oxygen to give you a short boost to your alertness. You do this when you are more tired as this is when it might help the most. You will also sometimes do it when you have just woken up for the same reason.

Does yawning display our lack of sleep?
