      Hi,

Good question. Descriptively, it’s a state when you cannot focus clearly and continuously on a single thought. Biologically, I believe, it’s driven by your brain not being awake enough.

Brain fog is dysfunction in the brain that can impair memory and learning which can create periods of frustration, confusion and disorientation, particularly in older patients. It can also lead to fatigue, headaches, irritability, anxiety and sometimes insomnia. In everyday terms it can make it tough to organise your thoughts, remember and understand information, do problem solving tasks, make plans or keep up with a conversation.
Pregnant women can experience bran fog as well as people on particular medications and it can also occur in a range of mental and physical problems. Overall, like Paul said, it’s characterised by your brain being tired, and can sometimes be made better with a better diet, exercise, reduced stress and of course….sleep!!!!!!
