I think the body tells you when it’s tired. So sometimes when we are still thinking or engaging in TV or a book the mind is still active so it’s difficult to sleep at night. Hence, often when you find sleeping difficult, we suggest that you eat atleast 2 hours before your bedtime and wean out of technology i.e. games, phones, TV at least 1 hr before bedtime so that the mind and the body winds down. Often in the morning, the body may still be tired and hence you are awake but not ready to get out of bed! Sometimes, also feeling low may not motivate you to get up. So if that’s a worry and there is some sadness or anxiety – it’s best to see your GP and/or a psychologist.
