0 Question: Do you think large noisy classrooms are good for children to learn? Keywords: classroom, environment, learning Asked by anon-188598 to Shanti, Paul on 6 Nov 2018.
Paul Matusz answered on 6 Nov 2018:
Hi Memp,
I think that smaller classrooms are more conductive to focusing attention and learning. Actually, what seems to be important for better learning that classrooms that do not have too much decorations that are not directly related to what the students are suppposed learn, have a look at this article about work of my colleague Prof. Anna Fisher and her colleagues – https://www.psychologicalscience.org/news/releases/heavily-decorated-classrooms-disrupt-attention-and-learning-in-young-children.html .

Some people say they work well under stress so if the noise around them are loud then will some people work well because they might be stressed?
