hmm this is a difficult question! To some extent, we are able to communicate with domestic animals (e.g. dogs, horses, goats) using hand gestures or whistles. They learn what we want and our living pattern through experience and training, we also learn what their reactions mean by giving out these cues. If you are talking about the ability to have a conversation (in a coffee meeting or after watching a movie), then I think we need the help of technologies and this will take quite awhile to do so. So, let’s hope for this is going to happen 🙂
