      Hi,

That’ a very good question. My studies were predominantly in the field of psychology (where we learn a lot about biological bases of behaviour so neuroscience is present, but theoretically) but to better undertstand the anatomy and function of the brain, I have attended a course in Bangor during my PhD where we spent several hours learning how and where different regions in the brain are located, cutting and scraping matter from actual brains. As the brains are preserved in a substance called formaldehyde, the smell is actually quite offputting – and so it’s super hard to forget about this activity! 😉
