• Question: How long would the test subjects be asleep for the sleep study?

      Hi, thanks for the question. There are different types of sleep study we run. Some will be run overnight in our lab, but sometimes we let participants nap during the day. Overnight participants would have 9 hour window to get some shut eye, while in a nap they have a two hour window. Participants are unlikely to be asleep for the whole length of time, but most of the time they do sleep! For naps most people sleep around 90 minutes, for overnight studies around 8 hours or so (maybe slightly less).
