This is a truly amazing question, thank you. If I could take a magic wand and do anything I guess I would get rid of climate change. It is hard to understate the potential impact this problem is going to have, and I genuinely think future generations are going to be very annoyed with us for our inaction! (to put it mildly). Large parts of the world are near or at sea level (like Florida in the states and countless other areas). When the oceans rise the effects will be catastrophic, particularly in these areas. The problem with waving my magic wand though is that people will not have learned anything. Perhaps a better wish would be that everyone on earth has access to a good education. This way the solution to climate change will be made by us and not by a genie! Plus educating people will lead to lots of other extra benefits to humanity. The only reason I would magic away climate change so quickly is that time is really of the essence, we are already starting to see the effects, and the sooner we address this problem the better. If you want to know what you can do about climate change please check out this thoughtful article from the David Suzuki Foundation: https://davidsuzuki.org/what-you-can-do/top-10-ways-can-stop-climate-change/

I think I’d want for everyone to be immensely openminded. Imagine if everyone understood where others were coming from, if they listened to each other and accepted evidence and weren’t just blinded by opinions and beliefs. Politics, the law, the media, even how scientists interact with each other would improve. There’d be no prejudice, no sexism, nor racism, no class differences, no discrimination. People would live and let live and collaborate and all our attentions would be focused not on harming one another and threatening each other but on the bigger things like disease, climate and poverty.

      Hey,

That’s a truly fantastic question. And Alex and Nadine gave such great answers. Both hate and climate change are the two biggest problems of today’s world; I think I’d try to implement changes that could address overpopulation – global population is growing all the time. If we combined rapid changes to climate change issue, improved education with openmindedness (we’re working on this!) and understanding that we can’t grow as population till infinity for Earth to accomodate us all (and all the living things), I think we’d be really well set for happiness.
