Question: is your job interesting and would you like to carry on with this job ?

My job is definitely interesting right now! They say you learn something new every day right? Well I learn a whole lot of somethings everyday- way more than I could have expected! That keeps stuff pretty fun.
Right now I’m a PhD student which is sort of like being a Research Assistant. It’s really great for now but after a few years in this role I’d definitely want to move up and also branch out. I’d love to move up the research foodchain, be leading my own research one day with my own assistants. I think I’d definitely wanna keep working with ethnic minorities and maybe stick to dementia.
But at the same time I’d love to be doing something else as well as the research. Maybe I’ll be a practicing clinical psychologist too who also works with people and patients directly for non research reasons. I’d also love to become more of a science writer- beyond blogs to newspapers and books maybe!
