Definitely writing!!! I’m either writing up what people with dementia have told me, or forms to get permission to do certain kinds of research. I’ll be writing articles and blogposts, presentations and leaflets, writing up or about data- soooooo much writing!!!
It’s a good thing that 5 year old me always wanted to be a writer!

My position at the university I work at actually involves a lot of teaching because of the contract I am on. I spend a lot of time at the moment preparing classes on a range of topics such as the brain and movement and developmental psychology (how babies learn). I still love research, but I only have time to do more of that outside of term time, when my students are not here!

As I am in charge of a small group of people doing research, I frankly mainly answer a lot of emails and take part in many meetings that set up and move forward different research project of ours – we meet with teachers, doctors, but also other scientists.
As my job is to be publishing and disseminateing research, I also in fact write and publish a lot – but this is usually done in collaborations with other people 🙂

I think I am lucky at the current position – I spend most of my time doing research. In particular, i spend most time in the wild doing data collection with wild squirrels 🙂 (from dawn to dusk). I also spend time on watching videos to get behavioral data. cannot complain it 🙂
