Hi Brain_Cell 🙂 thank you for the question! Apart from my dad (who is a zoologist) I think I am going to have to go with a scientist called Carl Sagan as my favorite. Carl was an astronomer (among other things) and sadly passed way before his time at the age of 62 before you were born. Carl was the best communicator of science I have ever seen, and he had a way of writing that really grabs you and makes you stand with him in awe at how amazing the universe is. He always wrote from a place of compassion and wonder, something I really admire. My respect for Carl Sagan, and what he did with his life, is absolute. His books are really accessible and I am sure he would have loved the idea of younger people like yourself reading them. If you want to hear a little bit of Carl speaking, a fan took some audio from his audio book ‘Pale Blue Dot’ and put it into this masterful 4 minute short film. I think Carl would really like what the fan did with it so you should check it out, hopefully you will get what I am talking about 🙂 https://vimeo.com/108650530
