      Because it allows me to understand the science behind some behaviours and actions we see in everyday life!
      The best part of my job is working with patients who have had brain injury and their families. I enjoy the research and teaching equally but love the clinical aspect a little more 🙂

      Memories have to be encoded first – that is you pay attention and or take in the information, then there are many factors that contribute the to memories being registered. There is some evidence that memories get stored in different parts of the brain. However, the structure called Hippocampus (there are two – 1 in the left hemisphere and 1 in the right hemisphere) helps in memory reconsolidation.
